durka-durka Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this question, but thought I'd ask anyways. Is it possible to jump to a specific point in a reply? Say, if my replay is 2hrs long and I want to move ahead to 1hr 42min in, is there a button I can push, or do I have to ffw through the whole mission and risk a corrupted track? Thanks for any replies. 492nd Squadron CO (F-15E): JTF-111 - Discord Link
Exorcet Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 You can't jump, only accelerate time. 1 Awaiting: DCS F-15C Win 10 i5-9600KF 4.6 GHz 64 GB RAM RTX2080Ti 11GB -- Win 7 64 i5-6600K 3.6 GHz 32 GB RAM GTX970 4GB -- A-10C, F-5E, Su-27, F-15C, F-14B, F-16C missions in User Files
Dangerzone Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 If you accelerate time - be prepared for a corrupted track file as well. My rule of thumb is to make a backup (master) copy of any track file I want to use and never touch that one. If a track file becomes corrupt, I can then copy that back to the track directory to 'fix' the corruption. I would almost be willing to be a decent amount of money that a 2hr track file is going to be corrupt 'some how' before you get to 1:42:00 in using anything but zero acceleration. I hear some people can get away with up to 4x accelerate - but in my experience running with no acceleration yields best results (and still doesn't guarantee it's going to work correctly). 2
