Varjo aero question

So if I was to get one, what else do I need? A £400 base station as well?

Mark, it’s a SteamVR platform with external tracking so you need at least one basestation (they recommend V2 but V1 worked fine for me when I had it). You’ll also need a controller or two (either Vive Wand or Valve Index controller) for SteamVR operation. 
 

Also, do not buy Basestation or controllers from Varjo. Buy from Steam/Valve, cheaper.

OK, thanks....re the station, this can be something other than the option on their site, yes? And do you really need the hand controllers? I had a vive pro 2 and had to order a base station and controller as well for that, but literally never used the controller apart from initial set up......I used a v1 station with no issues. So the Aero is basically the same?

Yes if you already have basestation and controller from the VP2 then you only need the headset swap. 
 

The next thing to do is uninstall all the Vive apps because the old settings might interfere with the Aero.
