2.8 Stable version

I recall the issue with AI personnel was reported in 2.8 beta and now with 2.8 Stable official is this still broken?

I can not get AI to work with waypoints. Group Active WP 0 to Hold WP 1 about 98 feet away I had to delete him from a mission because he would become active next to a Humvee and run off in every direction randomly picked by him, Then at some point drop to one knee point his weapon then get up run to the last hold task waypoint or past it or wherever he was happy with and stop. Please tell me if I am at fault here.

Mission editor 2.7

Put down a Soldier that has WP. Add 1 WP #1 Add Hold Task to WP #1

Name Soldier Message man in mission editor and make him a late activation next to a Humvee spaced away from the Humvee but close.

Group active Message Man in editor set.

he would do every thing above just fine. in 2.8 it don't matter if I do it the same or ADD WP 0 Go to Waypoint 1 Task or not like in 2.7 he comes into the mission and the crazy run around starts. Broken is Broken and Bugs are Bugs and time can fix anything But if it is my editing please help me learn the correct way to make the AI foot Soldier to Do his Duty in my mission.
