Nzaviator Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Hi all and thanks in advance. When using my quest 2 about 30ish maybe more mins in my frames drop from a comfy 45 with head room down to between 8-15. this is on both mt and non mt dcs. sometimes it recovers after a few mins other times it does not. from what I can see its the Cpu frame time that goes from about 10ms to 40+ ms at the same time Im running 5600x 3080 32gb 3200mhz ram Asw 45fps off Thanks Again dcs.20230310-200048.dmp
Sh4rk Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 I've been having the same issue for about a month (since previous [non-MT] patch). DCS seems to be using only half GPU power for a few minutes, then it stutters once, view flickers, and gameplay resumes in good fps. The only relevant thing on dcs.log that could be related: Quote 2023-03-11 03:56:04.557 INFO ASYNCNET (Main): Current ping: 203.3ms 2023-03-11 03:56:21.359 UNKNOWN UnitsLayer:: (Main): m_obj2ctl.find(obj) != m_obj2ctl.end() 2023-03-11 03:56:23.184 WARNING LOG (19892): 15 duplicate message(s) skipped. 2023-03-11 03:56:23.184 ERROR APP (Main): Error: Unit [A-10C]: Corrupt damage model. 2023-03-11 03:56:34.605 INFO ASYNCNET (Main): Current ping: 204.0ms 2023-03-11 03:56:39.830 ERROR VISUALIZER (22492): xrEndFrame failed with error: XR_ERROR_RUNTIME_FAILURE 2023-03-11 03:56:43.471 ERROR APP (Main): Error: Unit [A-10C]: Corrupt damage model. 2023-03-11 03:56:44.395 DEBUG LuaGUI (Main): --- onChatMessage--- Togur connected to server nil nil 2023-03-11 03:56:46.627 ERROR VISUALIZER (22492): xrEndFrame failed with error: XR_ERROR_RUNTIME_FAILURE P.S. Alt-tabbing from the DCS window seems to help.

Same behavior: Quest2 WiFi Link 2700xOC / 16gb / 3070 / OpenXR I have good 45fps but suddenly (20min - 40min), frames drops to 20-25 without any reason (sometimes with the plane stopped in ground) with frame times doubled. Yesterday, the alt-tab trick WORKS FOR ME the two times that suffered the problem.

NIGHTHAWK1 Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 (edited) I have a somewhat similar problem. In VR with MT my FPS jump from 60 to 120 back to 60 and then 120, over and over, at about 1 second intervals. Does not seem to affect the picture, only notice FPS change. I912900K, RTX 3090, 64GB ram, Oculus Quest 2, OTT, NvCP If someone wants my settings let me know. I have been adjusting settings since MT came out and so far this is the best with no stuttering and many settings set up high, and a good quality picture. NIGHTHAWK1 Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 NEVER MIND More experimentation and found out by turning off "shadows" eliminated this problem. I-9 12900K, RTX 3090, 64 GB, 2TB SSD, Oculus Quest 2, Win 11, Winwing Orion F-16EX Stick, F-18 dual throttle, Thrustmaster TPR pedals.
