Dusty Rhodes Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I need help on this one. I have an A-10 set to AFAC mission with only Illum flares as loadout. I set a target point and check mark airfield, which is what I want illuminated. I set the attack waypoint as a Fly Over waypoint. The A-10 flys over it, goes to the attack point and then turns and heads for the next waypoint without dropping the Illumination flares. How in the heck do you make this work? Dusty Rhodes Posted January 31, 2009 Author Posted January 31, 2009 BTW, I tried AFAC and also pinpoint attack and it didn't work. I looked up the nigh Illumination mission in the Deployment Campaign but that didn't help as the loadout for teh SU-34 doing the Illum work didn't even have flares loaded. TX-Kingsnake Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Open up the mission I posted called Insurgent Camp. You can see the target point, type, payload and the alignment of the waypoints.
Dusty Rhodes Posted February 1, 2009 Author Posted February 1, 2009 That did the trick TX. I didn't have it doing a loop and my targetting was wrong. I changed it to POINT and the A-10 was lighting up the sky. Thanks a bazillion TX. eV1Te Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 I looked at your mission but I never got it to work... I replicated all the waypoints and target points as they wore in your mission but no flares... Please take a look at this test mission i made and see what's wrong (only one player and one airplane supposed to drop flares)eV1Te Training Night Flare.miz
Dusty Rhodes Posted February 1, 2009 Author Posted February 1, 2009 I'll take a look at it. Dusty Rhodes Posted February 1, 2009 Author Posted February 1, 2009 I just looked at it and you have to have the Aircraft loaded with the SAB-100 for it to illuminate. Use the SU-25's for it. Thanks that worked, but in TX-Kingsnake mission he didn't have any weapons loaded at all (although i did get the usual message telling me that the loadout didn't match the selected aircraft)...
TX-Kingsnake Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 (edited) (although i did get the usual message telling me that the loadout didn't match the selected aircraft)... The illumination flares were a custom loadout for me. Maybe there is a standard loadout I am unaware of. It wasn't something I knew how to do initially. I spent a few hours puzzled over how to get it to work. Edited February 2, 2009 by TX-Kingsnake
