FADM Stern GNSF Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I have been doing some flying with another person who also purchased BS from the download site, and all has been well up until today. He opened a server and I joined (like I have done many times so far), but then he locked up. When he tried again, the multiplayer game would not start (single player is working OK). He did a complete reboot on his computer and tried again, getting the same problem. A error box comes up titled "WINDOWS - NO DISK then shows a message in the window of; Exception Processing Message 0xc0000013 Parameters 0x000007FEFE007240 0x0000000000000004 0x000007FEFE007240 0x000007FEFE007240 Any idea what could cause this, as it was working fine then all of a sudden this. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thank you Try the Rest, then Join the Best
FADM Stern GNSF Posted February 4, 2009 Author Posted February 4, 2009 Update :-( seems he now gets the same error when launching a single player game. HELP :-( Try the Rest, then Join the Best
Ulrich Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Once again I say: NO CD error has nothing common with BlackShark and is 3-rd party software error (maybe some virtual drives software). Make sure you are not using "merged" Russian and English versions or cracked Freetrack newinput.dll file also.
bumfire Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 (edited) With what I have read about said error WINDOWS NO DISK, the disk part means HARDDRIVE, not cd or dvd drive, however I maybe wrong but I have read into this due to another thread and did suffer from the same exact error for the first time yesterday after a windows update install of windows search 4.0. Basically this error is caused by in large due to something related to SP3 or similar functions that come with Vista as xp sp3 installs certain stuff that is the same as vista has. So, as the DISK part in the error means harddrive then I think that the error is caused due to a quirck in the OS where for a split second it cannot read info from the harddrive and throws that error up thinking the harddrive is missing ?, as stated it has nothing to do with blackshark but it is more likely to be caused by the OS itself. In another thread someone had the same error and fixed it by reinstalling the game as either windows never installed his game properly or his game got corrupted at somepoint. Google for WINDOWS NO DISK error and you will find that it happens on thousands of pc's and all with XP SP3 or Vista and it can happen when doing nothing like which happened to me yesterday or it can happen in a myriad of applications. Something somewhere is causing this to happen and I think the blame lies at microsofts door for this one as on the websites I visited about this problem, hardly anyone has the same software running with the exception of xp sp3 and vista. Or as some have said, it can be related to card readers aka memory card slots in your pc, could be, but again they say it is caused by sp3 and precluding updates, but I personally dont have any card readers and I still got the error ??? but if you do have a card reader then you can try and delete the following updates XP updates KB925902 KB931261 KB930178 KB931784 & KB932168, may solve the problem. You must stop the Windows autoupdate and do manual updates until a fix is available, otherwise the problem will reoccur. That is taken from another website but it doesnt explain why the error also occurs in vista if its only windows XP updates that are the cause, personally I wouldnt delete the updates til it is known one way or another if that is the real cause. Too many different theories about how to fix said problem floating about the net, so I wouldnt just jump in and start trying everything to fix it, I would wait and see if their is an absolute fix first before doing anything other than reinstalling the game. FADM Stern GNSF Posted February 4, 2009 Author Posted February 4, 2009 Thanks very much for the info, and I will pass that along. I didnt think it was a BS problem, just wasnt sure if anyone knew what it could be. He tried reinstalling but the result was the same. I will have him dig into this as he runs Vista (I am staying with XP Pro). So far my game is an error free treat :-) Try the Rest, then Join the Best
