ricktoberfest Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 I’ve been regularly checking for updates on GitHub but there hasn’t seemed to be any activity now for months. The last patch was end of December and even the commits seem to have dried up. I was really hoping at least for fixing the modules that don’t seem to work with VAICOM. Apache and Mi8 are 2 that really bother me but also WW2 aircraft. is anyone still working on this or am I holding out hope for nothing?

I don’t speak for the people working on Vaicom, but I think when it shifted to community maintenance the main focus was to keep it working as it was with the modules it already worked with. I believe they have stated they’d like to expand the scope of Vaicom, but when or in what form this might happen is still to be determined and I don’t believe there are any stated timeframes. I’d suggest you just keep an eye on Github as you have been, when the team is working on something I’m sure they’ll share. Alternatively, you could ask in the Discord - you can often speak directly to someone working on Vaicom there. Modules: [A-10C] [AJS 37] [AV8B N/A] [F-5E] [F-14] [F-15E] [F-16] [F/A-18C] [FC3] [Ka-50] [M-2000C] [Mig-21 bis] [Afghanistan] [Cold War: Germany] [Iraq] [Kola] [NTTR] [PG] [SC] Intel i9-14900KF, Nvidia GTX 4080, Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Master X 64GB DDR5 @ 6400 MHz, SteelSeries Apex Pro, Asus ROG Gladius 3, VKB Gunfighter 3 w/ F-14 grip, VKB STECS throttle, Thrustmaster MFD Cougars x2, MFG Crosswind, DSD Flight Series button controller, XK-24, Meta Quest 3

I’d hoped when the community team took over that there’d be a resurgence of interest, but I guess that was short lived. As far as discord- no thanks. Too much social media in my life already.
PeneCruz Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Hey there The team took a break from working on the next build over the Christmas period and personal commitments have meant we haven't had a lot of time over the last couple of months to actively collaborate on VaicomPro. While it appears not a lot is going on in the Github repository, other than bug reports (thanks for these reports) you have to remember the Dev Team have local copies of the repository that we work on as well. To that end I personally have been playing around with a new VaicomPro.dll file that tries to fix some behaviors and add some new functionality. Once we get something worth testing the Beta Test Team will get a new build to play with and we can get it out to the community once we are happy with it. DCS has also had some large changes over the last few moths and there are more coming down the pipe, so far we have been very lucky that not much has broken and we haven't had to do a mass scramble to fix it. Thanks for you support 1 2

Thanks for you support Thanks. Didn’t see your reply till now. I wish I had Thea kills to help but unfortunately I don’t. It’s a great product and I only wish the best for the team who is working on it. Makes sense that people are working off-line so it might not show up on the github, appreciate it.
