pho Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 (edited) Hi all - I've been struggling to align my TM MFD's to as close as possible to the cockpit view, with the hopes of being able to see my Leap Motion tracked hand, touch the buttons in game as well as feel them irl. I will get them into the right position, nearly perfect, but if I reset my HMD view (happens often in VR), everything gets out of wack, and in completely (i'm talking talking inches) different spots now and there's no amount of changing that will get them back. I know of the IPD changes which I've done, and those made the MFDs to the actual size of the TM MFDs, but it's all about the positioning really. I'm able to put the MFDs nearly anywhere with my mounts but getting them to line up in game and keeping them there seems impossible. I guess I'm a bit confused as to the tools at my disposal and how the cockpit sizing/positioning works? I think I may be thinking about it all wrong. Today i'm using where I reset my HMD along with the seat height (and IPD settings). Has anyone else attempted this or can anyone provide some guidance or explanation of how the VR cockpit view is designed or how it works? I've been working on it quite a bit and I think my brain is broke now. Thanks in advance. EDIT: I think 1 workaround might be to get different mounts, something that's quicker to adjust and more "flexible" so when I need to I can just grab and position them to the right spot in game - I've read those posts where folks will use adjustable camera arm mounts, which isn't out of the question...I just figured as long as I'm seated in the same position, and reset my HMD in the same position, that the positioning would persist. A.F. Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 (edited) I adjust my seat position with forward - back - up - down in the control settings "cockpit views". There you can assign buttons for the movements. So I can tune my seating position well after I have centered my HMD. Does the description help you? Edited April 20, 2023 by A.F.
