Panthir Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 (edited) In this context, during PvPs and Sequential Campaign Missions planning phase, each team will be able to keep hidden their battle order. So, both teams will be able exchange the mission file during the planning phase without any risk the other team to see the enemy's planning. I assess that it would be very easy. The show hidden units option is already available in ME. Just set a password option for each coalition. Many Thanks in advance Edited May 2, 2023 by Panthir My Hardware: ROG Strix X570-F Gaming - AMD 5600X @ 4.7 ghz - G.SKILL TRIDENT 32GB DDR4 3200 (14-14-14-34 CL) - GigaByte 3080ti OC 12gb - Corsair MP600 Force 1TB - 2 x EVO Nvme 500GB - Virpil Warbird Base T-50CM2 and TM Throttle + Trackhat + G25 + AOC AG271QG 27" My Modules: JF-17, F-16C, AV-8N/A, F-18C, ASJ37, MiG-15Bis, MiG-21Bis, Fw-190D, Bf-109K, P-51D, F-86F, Ka-50 III, UH-1H, Mi-8MTV2, NS430, FC3, A-10C, Mirage 2000C, L-39, F-5E-3, SA342, Spitfire, AH-64, Mirage F-1CE. Many Thanks in advance I have a couple of options that may be potentially useful to you for a workaround at the moment: One option is to have each side place their units in a separate mission. Then I believe that you can import templates from other missions over the top - so you could have one person as the administrator tasked with the job of importing both to the final mission at the very end before setting up the game. Everyone else wouldn't then see the different sides. Or - going one step further - I have been playing around with scripting that will automatically load other units from other mission files into the running mission as it plays out. This second option is probably more suitable for people who are happy with scripting in running missions, but it does allow scenario's to be brought in on the fly that anyone can previously design with just the mission editor: I know neither option is what you've asked for - but if you need a solution now - these are 2 possibilities.
Panthir Posted May 3, 2023 Author Posted May 3, 2023 Up to now we were using combatflite tool to merge the missions instead of the template tip. The scripting solution is far away as we have no experience 1 My Hardware: ROG Strix X570-F Gaming - AMD 5600X @ 4.7 ghz - G.SKILL TRIDENT 32GB DDR4 3200 (14-14-14-34 CL) - GigaByte 3080ti OC 12gb - Corsair MP600 Force 1TB - 2 x EVO Nvme 500GB - Virpil Warbird Base T-50CM2 and TM Throttle + Trackhat + G25 + AOC AG271QG 27" My Modules: JF-17, F-16C, AV-8N/A, F-18C, ASJ37, MiG-15Bis, MiG-21Bis, Fw-190D, Bf-109K, P-51D, F-86F, Ka-50 III, UH-1H, Mi-8MTV2, NS430, FC3, A-10C, Mirage 2000C, L-39, F-5E-3, SA342, Spitfire, AH-64, Mirage F-1CE.
