extreme pop-in

Loving what i'm seeing with the new map, but i'm seeing it too late. When i'm flying low villages are flat (2d), except for churches, until i'm really close. Also at night, flying over Paris, lights pop in only as i'm about to hit a building. Are you also experiencing this? My draw distance setting is set to high. I've not been experiencing this with the channel map.

I for one, tried an emergency landing in a field. Turns out it is actually a forest.
