SantasGolfClub Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 I am unsure what has happened, but when I go into Mission Editor, Create new, and try to place an aircraft, I get a grey square where the aircraft details should show. All other things are fine. Ships, Helicopters. Just aircraft. I see an error appears in the dcs.log: Quote LUACOMMON (Main): Error: GUI Error: [string "./MissionEditor/modules/me_aircraft.lua"]:814: assertion failed! GUI debug.traceback: stack traceback: [C]: ? [C]: in function 'assert' [string "./MissionEditor/modules/me_aircraft.lua"]:814: in function 'setDefaultRadio' [string "./MissionEditor/modules/me_aircraft.lua"]:1234: in function 'show' [string "./MissionEditor/modules/me_toolbar.lua"]:1013: in function 'onChange' [string "./dxgui/bind/ToggleButton.lua"]:20: in function 'callback' [string "./dxgui/bind/Widget.lua"]:368: in function <[string "./dxgui/bind/Widget.lua"]:363> Anyone know a fix for this? Grimes Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 Try running a repair on the game files. Do you have any mods installed? If so disable them, especially if it is an mod that adds an aircraft. Its odd if helicopters work just fine because they use the same file. So I think it would be a problem with the radio information it is trying to get. Does it occur just when you open the menu or only once you place any aircraft? The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. SantasGolfClub Posted May 9, 2023 Author Posted May 9, 2023 It happens as soon as I click the aircraft icon in the toolbar. The box goes gray and the error is written. strangly - if I open an existing mission - it works. It’s only on a new mission. That’s baffling me.
