Its all working OK, however, I notice that the wire connection from the base to the grip is very strained at full afterburner position, ideally, the wire should be longer to avoid stressing the connection. is there a way to extend this so there is more slack?

Had the same concerns. Simply tie it on the backside with 2 zip ties and there is no more tension, no matter if in idle or full burner.

Don't know why they didn't route the cable this way out of the factory. It is much better than on the front!
