Trigger spawn random ai via set flag random…(dice rolling)

Basic…

when part of group enters trigger, then roll die….etc, and if A=dead and die rolls A, then roll again…etc eTc.  
 

works flawlessly when used in PLAYER, but never works when used in CLIENT. 

Is this the way it is or am I missing something?  
tried in multiple scenarios and maps. Trigger set ups identical. (Except as client I use A or B or C….and do forth)
