450Devil Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 I have looked over the ME Wish List and while there were a couple of posts that partially touched on this, they were more for specific issues (such as visualizing artillery target zones). My wish is for the ME to have a tool that would allow the mission maker to visualize selected heights above ground level. For example: on the PG map to show all heights above 200 feet AGL as red on the ME map. With the number of helicopter modules now available in DCS this would be a valuable tool for planning helicopter routes in mountainous terrain (such as the Irag area of the PG map). The mission maker could then more easily design routes that masked the aircraft from adversary units and also avoid having units flying over terrain at higher heights not suitable for effective helicopter operations. Unfortunately neither the ALT or the SAT map types are very suitable for easily displaying "heights above" information. A ME tool that can overlay colored areas of selected / specified heights above AGL would overcome this limitation for mission planning.
