Emble Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 Hello. I would like to simulate a Mi-8TV using early TV3-117 engines. As far as I know, the only difference in power plant with the TV3-117VM is increased high alt performance. I'm not sure if there was an increase in HP. I'm wondering if the remaining service life setting could be used to emulate an earlier model hip. The ED manual states that the service life setting coefficient is non-linear, and I am not sure what I would set the value as to achieve the desired effect. Does anyone else has any experience using the setting? Thanks.
Marsvinet Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 I have played around with it, but at the same time as flying at high density altitude and physical altitude, so nothing really conclusive. But with the "remaning service life" set around the middle of the bar, I could not manage to hover IGE with 1600kg internal cargo at the Kerman AFB. I was also trying to simulate the even earlier TV2-117 engines, so I'd just say, play around with it until it feels fun.
