dobs Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 When you uncage the seeker, it should either start tracking the target, or drift off ......It should not stay in the boresight position. Uncaging with no target should result in seeker drift...usually down due to gravity. Seeker tone should go from growl to squeal when high intensity target is being tracked.... right now it seems to have just a different growl. 1
falconbr Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 Hi, I agree. It is not implemented for the F-16 and F/A-18 modules either. Best regards,
KlarSnow Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 Which AIM-9 are you seeing the issues with? The AIM-9J/P do not tell the jet where the seeker is pointing, and cannot be cued to a radar lock, so once uncaged the seeker circle disappears and you only hear the tone. AIM-9M/L do tell the jet where the seeker circle is pointing, and can be cued to a radar lock, so they should behave similar to other aircraft.
