Good day pilots !

I've recently purchased the game following my last thread on joystick and I'm having some REAL fun flying around. In a week of playing ( about 15 hours ) I haven't fired a single weapon because I want to master all aspect of hovering and flying before doing that.

:joystick::joystick:

Now, I posted last time that I'm using my logitech joystick ( 3d extreme pro ). When i'm flying and look at the adi or standby adi, and start turning, I can see the black bubble jerking A LOT. I can also see that the stick in the cockpit is not moving smootly and sometimes, it is difficult to do small correction to my hovering due to this ( bank, pitch, yaw autopilot are on ). I went to the axis screen and look at my joystick and could saw that when using the rudders or banking, the movment is not smooth along the axis. I opened up the joystick and cleaned all the Pots but still, it's not perfect.

When you guys are flying with your joystick, is everything smooth ( adi bubble, stick in the cockpit, etc ).

If I have to change joystick, i was looking at the Saitek Cyborg X. Is it any good ?

I'll see you all online soon, when I'm ready to use that canon ;)

Smooth as a baby's bum here. Could it have something to do with the way it's connected to your PC. through a USB hub maybe?

I've also got a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick and I might have experienced a little of what you're saying.

Downloaded the latest driver software and from within that changed the sensitivity to 10-20% on all axes. After that i added some curvature to the axes in Black Sharks configuration.

After these very small fixes (cracking open and cleaning pots, shouldn't that be last resort?) I've gotten very smooth operation out of my extreme 3d pro

Core i5-760 @ 3.6Ghz, 4GB DDR3, Geforce GTX470, Samsung SATA HDD, Dell UH2311H 1920x1080, Saitek X52 Pro., FreeTrack homemade cap w/ LifeCam VX-1000, Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1.

FreeTrack in DCS A10C (64bit): samttheeagle's headtracker.dll

I tought I had downloaded the latest stuff from logitech, but I cant find that sensivity adjustement you are talking about. Is that in logitech config tool or in Black Shark ?

Has for cracking open and cleaning, since I had returned to FPS for a while, my joystick was a little bit dusty after moving from 2 appartments to my house ;)

And my joystick is connected directly to my pc via usb. No hub, no nothing in between the pc and the joystick.

Joysticks loose centricity and accuracy sometime.

Saitek sticks in my use after 2-3 years.

I have bought the new Cyborg X as substitute for my old Cyborg Evo. With a new stick you feel the difference! Very smooth flying now again.

Cyborg X is much stick for little money. Very adjustable, comfortable, some more buttons and a coolie-wheel.

Disadvantage: not stable during forward push of stick. This is no really problem in BS, but in other flight sims like IL-2.
