Orion2 Throttle Base 10th Anniversary Limited Version

Hi guys,
I was just checking the Winwing store, and it looks like they have a new version of the Orion2 Throttle available for pre-order:
https://wwsimstore.com/view/goods-details.html?id=466

as far as I could tell, the main differences between the 10th Anniversary version and the standard Orion2 Throttle Base are new airplane replica toggle switches and knobs.
The thing about the standard Orion2 throttle base that really bugs me is, that I have problems finding the correct toggle switches in VR. So this is an interesting upgrade.

However, as I already bought it already last year, I wonder if it's possible to replace the knobs and toggles on the old version - instead of having to buy the 10th Anniversary version. Does anyone have any experience with that?

According to winwing they wont sell the switches so it'd be something you'd  have to do. Don't have experience with it but I do know that some people 3d print switch covers and simply slide those on top of the existing ones with different shapes to use in VR, often saw those on etsy.

I just got two of the limited editions in today to add to my simpit but cant look at them till I get off work ;(

EDIT: Finally got off to look at mine well and seeing what they did, they are very nice switches but nothing other than that and the limited edition plate (mine is number 54 and 58) are different than the standard Orion 2. I don't see why you couldn't change them yourself if your ok with messing with electronics and can have switches made the appropriate size but that's probably gonna be costly.

Winwing very very likely will not sell them as they backed off selling the MFSSB parts separately cause they don't like the idea of having the customer work on certain things but if your willing to take the risk you should be able to. Easiest route would be the 3D printed slip ones that slide onto your existing stiches, I believe I even saw rubber ones on amazon at one point too that may work.

Thanks. So it seems that the differences are not really worth shelling out the money for a whole new Orion 2 throttle unit, when I am basically happy with the old one. However I must admit, flying in VR, I constantly have to make sure to flick the right switch. I accidentally deployed the landing gear more than once.
I don't think I'd go for the 3d printed slip-on switches, though. Either I just deal with it or I will try to replace one or two old switches with more accurate ones when I'm feeling adventurous.
And who knows? Maybe pointctrl will be such a game changer for me that I won't be using physical switches ever again? But that's probably another year away, since I've ordered it in February.
Anyway, as much as I am tempted for the 10th anniversary limited edition, I think I will spend my money on something else. Maybe the F-16 throttle handle I keep on eyeing for some time 😉
