JUICE-AWG Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 (edited) The F-15E STREAGLE has a similar takeoff issue that the C-101 experienced a couple of years ago where it sticks to the runway at rotation and you have to put more aft stick pressure to get it to lift off and then it lunges up and jumps off with a higher than normal nose attitude. Solution foxit Posted July 3, 2023 Solution Posted July 3, 2023 Have you tried to press the T/OFF trim switch? Release the switch when off the ground and trim the aircraft "down". 1
afnav130 Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 Hey Juice, try this. Around 150, pull the stick back about 1/3 to half and hold it there. The plane will start flying when it wants to and when it lifts off, relax the stick a bit at the same time. Then, put your gear up, then the flaps and be ready to trim the nose down. That's how its really done in the F15. 1 1

In the E model TO speed varies with weight and will be between 110 and 172 for rotating the aircraft. If the OP does it your way he´ll get what he´s complaining about - the feeling of "stickyness". To the OP: look for the manual, check your TO weight, add 10 kts and you will be taking off like a pro. 2 2
JUICE-AWG Posted July 17, 2023 Author Posted July 17, 2023 Thanks to @foxit @afnav130and @WizzRD The T/O TRIM solved the problem and the stick pull I'm used to in real aircraft is hard to do on a stock TM Warthog with no extension and the spring loaded gimble controls. It's doing much better now. As Wizard said too, the weight and all other factors mentioned seem to be spot on. More testing to do, but the module seems well modeled so far. No deaths in the MUDHEN yet. 1 "There are only two types of aircraft, Fighters and Targets." Doyle "Wahoo" Nicholson [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
