Willie Nelson Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 1) Does the real F15E not display an E bracket? (Similar to the Viper). I find in the viper at least, your approach alpha is a lot more intuituve to manage. I don't find it easy to fly a digitial readout of the alpha, I am hoping an E bracket is simply yet to be implemented. 2) Will the ILS display eventually have some equivalent of a "command steering symbol/"tic mark" such as the Viper and Hornet. I find it difficult to fly an IMC ILS without something equivalent and it seems unlikely that it would not have something to act as a flight director equivalent. Perhaps this may come in future with the "Autonomous Landing Guidance Steering Mode" (As discussed in 8.15 of the manual pg 233)? KlarSnow Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 1) no, there is no E bracket, you just fly the digital readout 20-22 units of AOA. 2) The ILS needles are supposed to be directors in the F-15E not raw glideslope/localizer indications, this appears to be implemented incorrectly right now or WIP. The Raw Glideslope indications is the bracket that shows up on the left side of the HUD and the raw localizer indications is the HSI arrow that is displayed in the HUD. 2

Thanks for that, on point two, that makes more sense, I was wondering why the slope scale is doubled up albeit one of them has no point of reference. On the first point, I’m surprised that the real thing does not have a visual AOA reference, as opposed to a digital readout.
