Hello all,

Got a Q:

Whenever I cue (or designate) my cursor on the ground radar, my TGP ends up in the air.

What setting do I have to change to get it looking at ground level?

System:

Win11 Pro, X870Pro RS Wifi 7 AM5, AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, Corsair MP400 SSD (1TB for WIN), Corsair MP700 PRO (2TB for DCS), VR PIMAX Crystal.

The Air to ground radar pulls the elevation from the steerpoint you have input at PB 17 in the upper right of the radar display. If you do not have a steerpoint up there, it pulls from the closest steerpoint. This is why your targetting pod is pointing in the air. It has no way to generate elevation off of an HRM map, only coordinates.

DTED is not integrated with the radar in this suite of strike eagle, so this is something you have to deal with via preplanning. its how it is designed to work.

Ah thank you. Indeed I did a steerpoint elevation higher than ground level ivo the target area.
