Welcome to Joint Task Force 191 - Task Force Jupiter!  0JholjIWWCaOKyHSQmyTt26Lcz6-ONwnWTaDBnPs

JTF-191 is a U.S. based Task Force that was formed in June of 2020 and is composed of 5 squadrons with 40+ active members. We operate as a JTF with an emphasis on realism and joint operations with all branches of military aviation. We also encourage anyone to fly how they want and have fun regardless of skill level.

We are actively looking for F-4E Phantom Pilots/Weapons Systems Operators and F-15E Strike Eagle Pilots/Weapons System Operators to fly with us!

June 14th: Due to the situation between Eagle Dynamics and RAZBAM we are suspending our F-15E Operations. We are focusing on the F-4E Phantom, AH-64D Apache, A-10C II, and the OH-58D Kiowa as fill in platforms until the return of the Strike Eagle. We encourage new folks to join and fly. You can still learn the tactics and grow with us until that day when the Strike Eagle is our primary aircraft again. We have faith that the situation will be resolved.

Our Squadron, the 494th Panthers Fighter Squadron, performs a multitude of mission roles including CAS, SEAD RECON, DEAD, STRIKE, DEEP STRIKES, and AIR TO AIR.  Both new and experienced pilots are welcome!  If you are new to flight sims, we will help you become proficient and help you get set up and flying with us! We are excited to build our unit. You can be a part of that!

Upon joining, a check flight will be conducted to determine if you are ready to go right to the 494th as a line pilot or be placed in the 87th Training Squadron. Once basic flight training is completed you will be proudly placed within the 494th as a full member.

Our training is built to teach new pilots/WSOs about the F-15E, F-4E, AH-64D, and A-10C II, and to provide refreshers to experienced pilots. With detailed courses on everything from take-off and landings to air-to-ground tactics, the training program is designed to ensure you are comfortable in your role and up to the task of joining our ranks. Once complete, you will fly missions incorporating the entire task force, which includes A-10s, F-16s, F-14s, and F-18s.

Our 494th Detachment is assigned to Nellis AFB, Nevada. Our parent squadron is out of RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom. All of our training takes place at Nellis AFB and we deploy to the Middle East, Eastern Mediterranean, Kola Peninsula, and the Black Sea Region.

Starting in August 2024 we are starting a new training period. It will start with Basic Airmanship, Airfield Operations, Tactical Formations, Air to Ground, and Air to Air. This is progression training ending with a Red Flag Exercise to prepare us for a deployment.

Our basic requirements to join:

- Be at least 18 years of age

- Have a cockpit visualization set-up (Pit build, TrackIR, VR, etc.)

- Hands on Throttle and Stick (HOTAS)

- Own the Nevada Theater

- Be able to make required time commitments, Thursdays for trainees and squadron training for approximately 2 hours at 2100EST, including mission nights every other Saturday (we are flexible).

- Have a good attitude and willingness to learn!

- Be able to have a lot of fun!

Come on over and join us! .  We will respond to you promptly!

PM me if you have any questions!

Things are great in the 494th. We have our own dedicated server and it is smooth as butter! We are going to add an alternate training night for those that can't make our regularly scheduled Thursdays. This day will be Tuesday.

Things are picking up with the 494th. We are on mission 6 of a Liberation Campaign, Operation Crimson Sand with the entire JTF-191. VFA-195 Dam Busters (Chippies) is hosting the campaign. We are still growing and have some great pilots. After this Liberation Campaign we will be hitting the newly introduced A2G training. Our A2G training program is designed to take the pilot from basic to advanced. We even have a Keyhole attack to make it extra fun.

Come check us out!
