  1. Welcome to Joint Task Force 191 - Task Force Jupiter! JTF-191 is a U.S. based Task Force that was formed in June of 2020 and is composed of 5 squadrons with 40+ active members. We operate as a JTF with an emphasis on realism and joint operations with all branches of military aviation. We also encourage anyone to fly how they want and have fun regardless of skill level. We are actively looking for F-16C Viper Pilots both experienced with squadron leadership and new pilots! Our F-16C Squadron, the 14th (Samurais) Fighter Squadron, performs a multitude of mission roles including CAS, SEAD RECON, DEAD, STRIKE, DEEP STRIKES, and AIR TO AIR. Both new and experienced pilots are welcome! If you are new to the Viper, we will help you become proficient and help you get set up and flying with us! We are rebuilding the squadron and are excited to welcome new pilots. You can be a part of that! Our training is built to teach new pilots about the F-16C, and to provide refreshers to experienced pilots. With detailed courses on everything from take-off and landings to air-to-ground tactics, the training program is designed to ensure you are comfortable in your role and up to the task of joining our ranks. Once complete, you will fly missions incorporating the entire task force, which includes A-10s, F-15Es, F-14s, F-18s, and of course the Viper! Our 14th Detachment is assigned to Nellis AFB, Nevada. Our parent squadron is out of Misawa Air Force Base, Japan. Much of our training takes place at Nellis AFB and we deploy to the Middle East, Eastern Mediterranean, and the Black Sea Region. Starting in January 2024 we are starting a new training period. It will start with Basic Airmanship, Airfield Operations, Tactical Formations, Air to Ground, and Air to Air. This is progression training ending with a Red Flag Exercise to prepare us for a deployment for about 12 weeks (6 biweekly missions). Our basic requirements to join: - Be at least 18 years of age - Have a cockpit visualization set-up (Pit build, TrackIR, VR, etc.) - Hands on Throttle and Stick (HOTAS) - Be able to make required time commitments, Thursdays for trainees and squadron training for approximately 2 hours at 2100EST, including mission nights every other Saturday (we are flexible). - Have a good attitude and willingness to learn! - Be able to have a lot of fun! Come on over and join us! . We will respond to you promptly! PM me if you have any questions!
  2. I wanted to add USAF aircraft at Incirlik AFB. I cannot figure out to make it a friendly base to accept missions. Is there any advice? I love this mission and our group is using it. Thanks!
  3. Things are picking up with the 494th. We are on mission 6 of a Liberation Campaign, Operation Crimson Sand with the entire JTF-191. VFA-195 Dam Busters (Chippies) is hosting the campaign. We are still growing and have some great pilots. After this Liberation Campaign we will be hitting the newly introduced A2G training. Our A2G training program is designed to take the pilot from basic to advanced. We even have a Keyhole attack to make it extra fun. Come check us out! Scooter
  4. Things are great in the 494th. We have our own dedicated server and it is smooth as butter! We are going to add an alternate training night for those that can't make our regularly scheduled Thursdays. This day will be Tuesday.
  5. Next week, September 14th, we are starting the training pipeline for the Strike Eagle. This is from Airfield Operations to Complex Combat Missions.

  7. I am only having issues with the Apache as well. I am not bothered. I know it will get better. MT has been amazing so far but again the Apache is not flyable for now.
  8. Is this the Azaezzel from the 16th a ways back?

  9. For some reason I am only getting around 5 to 6 FPS in VR. Every other plane is normal, 40 to 45 FPS in VR. I am hoping I missed something.
  10. Thanks to Overkill I can fly. May not be the "real life way" but I am having fun and this is a hobby.
  11. Hopefully we get some definitive answers from ED.
  12. Also, my typical flying is rolled left about 10 degrees and flying at about 20 degrees yaw to the left just to go in a straight line. My flight path indicator is always way to the right. All controls are calibrated. I'll figure that one out soon hopefully.
  13. For all the other helos, I have them as default. I don't even have curves set. For my HOTAS, it is just a stock Warthog. I have no idea what a "springless" stick would be. I am assuming it would flop if one let it go. In a real helo, if one lays the stick to one side will it stay there or will it come back to center? I have seen those pilots move the stick during wipeout and they can move it with there pinkies if they want. I know there is a mod one can do for the Warthog by removing that big center spring. For the Apache trimmer mode I use the central trimmer position. My Pedals are VKB Mk-IVs. They are very precise. I have read all of this thread and especially like the post that shows equations close to time travel!! I am just joining in on the sadness. I have to say I would be very hesitant to jump in a helo that does have a trimmer reset. I can't wrap my head around physically moving the stick and rudder to center to manually reset the trim in flight. I have crashed a few times doing that. The controls have been locked to one position in many cases as well.
  14. I want to figure this out badly. When I am on the ground and I move the stick and rudder, hit UP, the stick and rudder shows a new center. I let the stick, HOTAS Warthog, center and hit UP again and it seems to reset, on the ground. In flight, no such thing. I have had the stick and rudder center way to the left and let the HOTAS recenter and hit UP and nothing. I am so frustrated because I just cannot figure out what I am doing. I have watched all the videos and I really suck at flying this thing. In the Huey, Mi-24, Ka-50, Mi-8, I am rock solid. I can't even fly this one straight. Is it really that different than every other helo? I guess I am just crying like a baby here. I will keep at it. P.S. I can hit Down and I don't know if that one even works.
  15. I really want this to get fixed soon. At night I have to use the day mode as well and turn the brightness way down.
