Does an AIM 54 need fine INS alignment for tracking?

Hi,

I’ve fired some AIM 54s today and out of the 4 none of them tracked the enemy plane. 
fired at FL300 at 40nm at some Mig29s at Mach 1.1. My AI wingmans AIM54s tracked well. 
the only reason I could think of was my incomplete INS alignment. I asked Jester to cut it at 6.8, he then gave me the ‘ready to taxi’. Would that be the reason?
