  1. Since the latest Pimax update I don’t have to recalibrate eye tracking every time. It’s a highly welcomed upgrade
  2. It says it saves eye-tracking calibration.. I’m very excited to see that
  3. I haven’t experimented that much, as I soon settled with DLSS. To counteract the unclear cockpit texts, i upscale the foveated region. Visuals are very nice and FPS is generally good (expect for the F14 at Nellis ). hardware in description
  4. THanks for your reply. Unfortunately this app is not compatible with the supersampling I run my Foveated area (200x) at. Hopefully in the future they fix that.
  5. Adding to this discussion. I do have a motion platform, and I notice that the ride feels better in the civil sim. There is turbulence at different altitudes, regardless of plane size: I feel it in small turboprops as well as large airliners. In real life, you can certainly feel the turbulence in big airliners, and it does not have to be a huge storm. This makes me think that fighter jets should also be experiencing a rough ride. Unfortunately I don't feel it in DCS at the moment. And while you might think it's because my motion platform isn't tuned properly - I feel the bumps while taxiing especially in the Mustang, so heave telemetry is set properly. I wonder if turbulence could be strengthened to feel some bumps in the air as well?
  6. Hi, Thank you for this great headset and for being receptive to customer feedback! id love to see some improvements on the software side: 1) not having to recalibrate the eye tracking at every start up would be a big quality of life improvement 2) as previously mentioned, being able to manipulate the desktop while having the headset on would be a much appreciated feature thanks!
  7. I was able to run it finally. It does take care of some chromatic aberration, but it kinda also introduces new ones for me. Importantly, it does not take care of the distortion outside the sweet spot on my Crystal, which is what I was hoping for. It does make the sweet spot a bit sharper though. Those are my observations. For now with the extended trial period, I’ll keep it on Edit: actually have removed it, since it is not compatible with the resolution I like to run my Crystal at (200% render res in the foveated region).
  8. it requires Vulkan API according to instructions. So that doesn't apply to DCS right now is my understanding? ALso, I tried it in another SIM but wasn't able to get it working. OpenXR Explorer indicated some issue with the installation folder, which I left at default. Anyone with more luck?
  9. Do you know if your single thread DCS is running OpenXR for sure?
  10. Thanks for the tips, I could definitely have improved my intercept geometry. the front quarter shot was very short range, maybe those rear aspect IRs are ok in high aspect when they don’t have to maneuver a lot.
  11. Hi, I was surprised to see that I was killed by an AIM 9 head-on shot by an F5E. According to the mission briefing they are only supposed to carry rear-aspect IR missiles. Not sure if that is a bug or a DCSism (F5s simulating MiG-21s and maybe could not assign rear-aspect IR missiles to them?) Just wondered. Got my ass kicked hard in this one. Ate all SAMs and then this.. definitely need to refly!
  12. I was able to avoid them before by dodging 90 degree nose down as soon as they are launched and that way they are driven into the ground. Not sure if that's realistic though.. I'll check those videos out as I'm having difficulties trying to avoid them realistically too.
  13. Hi, This is a much requested binding! Noob question: when I edit the .lua file, it saves as .txt and then it's no longer read correctly in DCS. How do I edit the default.lua without changing its format? Edit: nvm, got it, just had to 'save' instead of save as. Thanks for this!
  14. I am absolutely loving the Supercarrier hangarview! Really hoping that more of these can be added. As others suggested, if changing the module background would change the hangarview that would be awesome.
  15. Hi, have you tried overwriting the LeapC.dll files in bin and bin-Mt folders of DCS with LeapC.dll file from Ultraleap’s OpenXR folder? I believe that solved it for me and others
