No audio Transmitted out via SRS (only in the Apache)

Hi all,

please let me know if there is a better place to post this.

Issue: When I Tx from any radio in my Apache, no audio is heard by another person in MP.  I also do not hear their audio.  No issue if I am in my Viper.

So far I have:

- Updated SRS to latest

- DCS is latest OB version

- Checked that SRS works fine with other modules (yes (F-16))- Bidirectional audio fine (Tx and Rx)

- Checked for the 'Tr' coming up next to the correct radio (and correct frequency) on my SRS overlay

- Checked that the other person is seeing my name come up on their SRS overlay when I Tx (yes it does)- and on the correct freq

- Checked that when in the Apache, my Windows audio settings do not change for some reason (they do not change)

- SRS application shows '3 greens' when I am in the cockpit with power/radios on etc.

- Got the guy I fly with to TeamViewer into my PC to check SRS settings are like his (all good)

Again- it works with my F-16.

Any ideas?  This one has me stumped.

Any help gratefully received.

Have a good flight.

I'll try that asap, thanks NeedsWD40.

Do you have 'PTT' or the like bound in DCS at all?  I have it in both the Apache and Viper.  Viper I got going 1st, still works fine.

Did you try setting up a AH64 specific profile and use the SRS bindings instead of in-game bindings?

Tried that.  Now audio is coming through, but just barely.  Not really loud enough to hear.  F-16 no issue with same setup.  I can hear others at a normal volume,

Thanks for your help!  Will report what fixed it eventually.

Due to idiosyncrasies in how SRS works with the AH-64, I have the ICS bound independently in SRS along with cycle radio and PTT on selected radio. Being in the front seat mandates this as the in-game select radio function doesn't seem to work natively from the front seat.

Can you think of any in-cockpit switches that could need double checking?  Nothing obvious sticks out, but are there any traps you know of, like the ICS switch needs to be set to X, for it to work maybe?  I now no longer have anything mapped in DCS, only in SRS.  Now only issue is I'm barely audible.  SENS knob is turned fully clockwise.  Grrr.

To my knowledge, there's no controls for microphone volume in the aircraft itself. The SENS knob is only for the ICS VOX position and I don't think SRS is affected by it (I also prefer to have it set to ICS PTT, so you might try using that position and see if there's not some oddity with SRS trying to send your commo through both ICS and radio).

Hi NeedzWD40.  In the end, the fix was just at my end, rather than SRS or DCS themselves.  To 'fix' it, I now start my Reverb G2 up before I open SRS.  This then has the VR headset as the microphone, instead of 'default'.  Why default works (also with the headset) when in the F-16, I have no idea at all.

Thanks for all your suggestions and help never the less.

Sounds like we have to be patient on the INU slipping before the Limas will guide properly.  Till then, will just do an INU reset a few minutes before firing like you said.

Have a good flight.
