Chibawang Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Is this possible? It seems like it could be done fairly easily since you have volume sliders for cockpit, external, mechanical, wind etc. What I would like to do is have a headset dedicated to only playing cockpit sounds, and then everything else coming out of the speakers. This is how the USAF handles sound with their simulators, and it gives a nice effect of being in an enclosed cockpit. Does anyone know if this can be done? 1
glottis Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 That's a bloody fantastic idea. I'm fairly sure it can't be done by anyone other than ED though. Therefore, I recommend adding it to the wish-list thread.
Chibawang Posted March 9, 2009 Author Posted March 9, 2009 Yeah, that was to be my next move. I was just hoping it could be done through lua editing. If anyone can confirm whether this is or isn't possible to be done on a user level that would be great.
rawtoxin Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 (edited) This might be handy, however you'll need good equipment. And note that a good AKG or similar headphones beat the crap out of any noname headset/ 2. 1 or 5.1 Combo. Besides when the cockpit door is closed- that gives me enough KA-50 feeling. ED did a good job here, u can raise cockpit sounds (buttons, clicks, cannon, rockets etc.) and seperately adjust environmental sounds such as engines and stuff. Edited March 9, 2009 by rawtoxin
