Mission 6 - A2A easy refueling

I am having problems to refuel(Easy A2A refuel).(I get close, but nothing, I just contact Arco, but not asking for precontact) Running Beta, MT DCS.

How close are you? You need to get right behind the tanker as if refuelling but do not need to connect to the basket. Also are you running any mods?

I've got the same problem with easy A2A refuel in this mission. In the other ones, I refuel without problems, whereas in this mission the "automatic refuel" don't start.

Are you running any mods? Are you right behind the basket ? Are you using open beta or stable.

Hi, no mods, I fly just behind the basket (just unable to catch it, but very near!). Open beta here (but I play a couple of days ago the previous missions of this campaign with A2A without problems).

Small update: A2A easy refuelling works fine in the next mandatory mission (mission 9). However, please check for another fuel related problem in mission 8 and 9. In both, there is no fuel consumption (the fuel gallons remain the same during the whole missions). BTW it is a very good campaign!

Glad your enjoying the campaign.

No there is no fuel consumption that is the price you have to pay for the EZ refuel facility. Its the only way I could set a solution where you do not actual have to connect to the basket, your aircraft is set up for about 50% full but it will not reduce. If I didn't set this up you would actually run out of fuel, not perfect I know but it does allow people who cannot yet catch the basket get experience in the longer missions.   In the normal version your fuel reduces as expected.

UPDATE: I have checked the EZ refuel in mission 6 and found a problem which I have fixed now. Will be in next DCS update.

@Sparviero1978 just checked the scripting out. To make things a little harder on this one you need to get in position as you have done before at the right height and speed limits. This time 70 seconds have to pass from the time your wingman enters the small zone around Texaco. Was this case. So either you were way ahead of your wing refuelling so did not wait in the correct position for 70 seconds after he started refuelling or you just did not wait 70 seconds for the mission to move on. Do you think this could have been the issue. The other problem we had last time is not present with this mission.

Hi there, finished SH2, very good indeed.  Started RoPL 1 EZ A2A refuel.   My F18 refuels fine. My wingman vanishes as tanker appears at WP 6.  Means I can't complete mission. No mods being used.

Are you talking about mission 6? 

In this mission your wing lands at a land base and should not plug with you.

Ok thought it was mission 6 as this is the title of this subject.

Can you explain exactly what happens and do you have Tacview, as a file of the flight would be really useful.

What should happen  is as you turn over the sea you should get a tanker call and it will appear a few miles ahead.  You should then, on EZ, get in position behind tanker and get the refuel complete message. You then wait for your wing to complete or he may have already finished but you need to move away from the tanker and start heading  away from the Tanker to the next way point when the mission will end. Let me know where this varies.

Glad you got its sorted. Yes general rule is no more than 300 knots when waiting for somebody to join you. This applies in all my campaigns.
