DishDoggie Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 I have Virpil Gear. All used desktop not as Simpit. so Far I have had 2 cable replaced. Both are SX9 5 pin end connectors. I Never Yank or Pull with any force on my cables. I Never leave them plugged into the Quick release Connector. I always release them yet with Very Anal care lol I have had 2 wires go bad. Virpil has replaced each of them free of charge but The request to show the Cable is bad to them is kind of work intensive lets say. First you have to take pictures of the Test Meter and the Probes in the shot for all 5 pins like below. This is a Continuity test for all 5 pins in this cable. In my test Pin 4 was bad pin 1,2,3,5, all good. so I went to Harbor Freight spent $25.00 on this cheap meter ground down the one end to fit inside the pin size hole then had to hook it to the VPC Configurator tool and capture shots of it from the built in screen shot button in the configurator while bending the broken wire to make a connection to even show up in the configurator tool. Then to fill out the order information and invoice number and purchase date. So I get the Free cable sent to me. Now I am not upset about this and understand you can not send free cables out the door without some kind of tests being done. I think they are very kind about all of it. I am happy about the process and hope I never need to do this again. Now I find it odd they do not sell new cables from the store page. I honestly would of just ordered a new one if they did. But because they do not I went through Support. My other Concern is this. I got this gear before the American Website Store was Made and Opened. My Order was from the EU Store. I had an account with them. My next orders were with the U.S. Store because they directed me to them and I had to set an account up in the U.S. Virpil Store. This Gear in my Order History from the EU has been wiped clean from my account and is no longer available. My Only Saving Grace is I saved my Invoices so I had Proof Of the Orders. Watch out if you have done this same thing. I also have ordered some new XS9 5 pin Connector ends and will cut the old cable end off and repair the bad cable with a new end for backup. I and thinking of just making a new cable as well. Has anybody done this same thing?
Guest Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 I am pretty sure that they can retrieve warranty info from EU store for current US customers as long as you can provide order numbers and serial numbers. I think other info like email, name/surname might work as well but I can be sure about that.

It all worked out and they are sending a new cable. Thanks
