Weird - controls not working at mission start

I have got a weird one. Have not been flying AH-64D module for a while. I have just returned. After mission start none of my binded (non-axis) controls are not responding. I have to press ESC, go to Controls, press OK. All controls working back again... 

Not sure whether it is a bug. Maybe there is something I am missing. I do not have this problem with F-15E or few other modules I fly now.

EDIT: I have resolved it by going to controls binding through the main menu, changing one thing and saving new configuration.

I have the same issue  don't know what's causing it, doesn't seem to affect any other modules. Will try your solution tomorrow

Some of the Apache missions start in Active Pause even on the ground, which is odd. That actually fooled me once like why isn’t my stuff working?

Your solution didn't work for me, and this is in multiplayer, so it's not in Active Pause

I'm also experiencing weird "dropuot" of hotas controls in the Apache.
I fix it the way you describe: Go to controls, verify the binding, and then pressing "OK"
It works most of the times. But sometimes I just have to abandon mission.
