cpeng03d Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 (edited) Hi all: I use HP G2 headset, launched DCS in openXR mode, motion controller button presses don't work. I have two hands just floating around, trigger and grip don't do a thing. If I launch in steamVR (openVR) mode, motion controllers work fine, trigger and grip can bend the fingers of the virtual hands. Any solution to this problem? Thanks! EDIT: The recent 2.9 patch on Oct20 2023 fixed this issue. I knew it wasn't my fault. They broke it and now it's fixed. Edited October 21, 2023 by cpeng03d
mbucchia Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 In settings -> VR do you have "Hand interaction only when palm grip is obtained"? Try unchecking that. I wasn't banned, but this account is mostly inactive and not monitored.
cpeng03d Posted October 6, 2023 Author Posted October 6, 2023 No sir, that option doesn't affect anything. Its like the mapping is simply not there
Dogmanbird Posted October 8, 2023 Posted October 8, 2023 possibly clearing current WMR environment data and also re pairing both controllers (in WMR) might do the trick I had a similar issue of the controllers not being seen by MSFS2020. I'm not 100% sure what cured it, but doing the above was one of the steps I took and now it works.

Dogmanbird Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 (edited) you could try temporarily renaming the DCS .cfg files that have the game controller mappings in them. DCS should then make new ones when started. Edited October 9, 2023 by Dogmanbird

Could you be more clear on the path of your said cfg file? The information you provided didn't help at all. Edited October 10, 2023 by cpeng03d
