Mad Katz rudder pedals brake inop

Hey all. 

Anyone have any ideas how to fix a broken right brake on the rudder pedals. It doesn't feel like anything is physically broken, but there is no input from the right brake pedal input. I'd rather not shell out for a whole new rudder pedal set if I don't have to. 

Ideas?

I had the exact same issue

Thought about repairing it

...I just shelled out cash for a Virpil rudder, because Saitek is absolute crap (already had to fix my X55 rhino when all wires to the throttle broke)

Apart from a better quality rudder pedal, it's also night and day difference in smoothness compared to the Saitek
