Here is the original cease fire signal as received by all units, afloat and ashore. NGS means Naval Gunfire Support - Any ship that had guns. Ships Company Communicators were NGS trained, and sat with the Gunnery Officer in the Ops Room talking to the "Spotters" ashore.
