Please standardize the control input window. And make it show when checked. And make it bigger/resizeable.

As the title says.

I use the control input window to regulate afterburner use and trim.  The problem is, the input window is very small on a 27" 1440p monitor and hard to see the trim info on.  Not only that, but the Viper and Hornet control windows are different.  The Hornet's is harder to see the trim setting at all, but the Viper's is too when slightly off center, and I'm not sure on either of them that I really see yaw trim at all.

Look at the A4 mod control window. It is larger, easier to read (including contrasting red and yellow) and contains more information (flaps, leading edge slats, nose wheel positioning, throttle position actual, engine rpm in-game, etc).  I figured they got it from you guys, but maybe not?  It's odd that it's not basically the same in every aircraft (with obvious exceptions for some vstol, choppers, ramps and doors, ok).

The other problem is that even though I have show control window checked in game options, it doesn't come up unless I hit the key for it.  Every single time.  It's almost like I'm just allowing it to work.

Am I the only one who uses it much?

anyway, thanks in advance

The control indicator is there for trouble-shooting or perhaps instruction, training videos etc. to show others your inputs. I don’t imagine most people need this turned on all the time. There’s a “loud afterburner” setting for the Hornet at least for those without a throttle detent. Not sure about the F-16. You shouldn’t need to see the trim setting, indeed many aircraft don’t have a cockpit indicator for this, you can simply tell by feel what it’s set at.

"Feel"?  I'm at a computer

You can see on screen the effect of your trim setting without literally seeing what it’s set at. And you can feel your stick position relative to its spring center. The only time you might actually look at a setting in the cockpit would be like the takeoff trim in a warbird. Of course then as IRL you aren’t flying at that moment so you’d have no feedback to set it. Otherwise trim is all judged by the effect, either IRL or in-game. You’ll see the aircraft climbing or descending etc either by instruments or simply looking outside. And adjust accordingly. A visual indication of the setting isn’t necessary. In fact many of these aircraft don’t have one.

the hornet is FBW and trims its self.... hold the stick in the same spot for a few seconds and it will stay at that trim. the only time you need to trim it is for landing and takeoff... and if you really really want to see the trim info in the hornet just go to the FCS page. it has more info than the window your talking about every will. as far as the other aircraft idk what they offer. i do believe the ah-64 and f-16 have something too the hornet.

It absolutely does not "trim itself" for asym loads and such.

you didnt say anything about asym loads however i again point you to the FCS page.

Of course the FCS page is used for trouble shooting and such. You don’t literally use this to trim the plane. The only specific number you set is the takeoff trim.

yes of course, however what he is asking for is the popup window that is for training be standardized throughout all aircraft. He is wanting it for use in everyday normal flight... which that popup window with that info was from my best understanding placed there for training. making a standard window that show the same info across all aircraft (via ED) is a probably not going to happen. so what i have seen so far for answer is a blanket "learn to fly better". I was simply giving him an option to see all the info he would need to see as far trim and power settings go. while the popup window is easy and fast to get this info, learning the aircrafts info pages and gauges would be just as fast and easier in the long run.

I think realizing how trim is used alleviates the need for an on-screen indicator. The P-47 has a pretty good tutorial on the use of its trim controls.
