Does anyone know how to contact support? I have been trying for two weeks. I can't install BS I can't budge the exe. All that happens is it just locks up my puter. I have tried all the things from the forums and nothing woks. I would be happy to used the money spent for credit on the DVD but I can't get any answer from support. I have tried any number of downloads.

Thanks trlrandall.

First off, wrong forum section. You know where the problem section is because you have posted there and it's rude to create extra work for the mods. ;)

But anyhow. Please supply as detailed information as possible on your computer, operating system and so on as is possible. Also please detail the installation procedure you have been following. Where are the files located, have you checked md5sums on them, and do you know if you have any crash logs from windows after reboot?

As near as I can tell this the problem section. I"m running Vista 32 the files were downloaded into the default folder. Then nothing, just a lock up I looked at the files but sorry it means little to me.

Hiya trlrandall,

Are you running the setup.exe with administrator privaleges in vista?

To do so, you must right click on the setup.exe and select "run as administrator" .... if the user you are logged in as is not an administrator allready, then you will also need to know the administrator password.

both the setup.exe and data1.cab need to be in the same directory when running the installer.

the file sizes (size on disk) I have are as follows:

setup.exe : 1,404,207,104 bytes

data1.cab : 940,990,464 bytes

Those should be the same as yours...right click on each file and select "properties" to find the "size on disk" and compare, to make sure your download is complete.

When I run the setup.exe I get a small (macromedia?) program splash screen come up with a progress indicator saying "checking install files" .. do you get this?... once that has finished (about 30 seconds) , the another small "KA50 Black shark" splash is shown, then a full screen installer thereafter....an a regular program install process to follow.

Have a look at these things and compare to what you are seeing, then write back with exactly what you are doing and seeing, and hopefully we can get to the bottom of it :)

Do you have some antivirus software? If yes - stop it before BS installation.

You must be fairly patient with it also...even when you do eventually get it installed, there can be 20 or 30 seconds of seeming non activity even after running the game launcher.

Make SURE that your system drive (ie wherever you have windows installed) has a few gig free, as it is very likely the installer module is unpacking the .exe and .cab into your %temp%...

good luck!
