DCS, Maverick boresight, and the F-16 (?)

Anyone have any idea why the F-16 is the only aircraft in the game that requires the AGM-65 to be boresighted? 
 

It has to be the most annoying feature of the F-16. I understand the argument for realism… so why don’t the other ED-produced modules require it?
