Use the new Spotting Dots to improve Navigation Lights

We been forever aflicted by the blind curse that makes impossible to see navigation lights from 1km+.

What is holding ED from implementing a white flashing dot on top of players with nav/strobe lights on?

Going even further, could be way harder to implement, add some offset red/green/white dots dependant of aspect.

First of all, i agree that this curse of broken nav lights at distance need to go away.
I'm not sure if the solution would be to use the spotting dots though. Currently (at least in 2.8) nav lights vanish way before the spotting dots should kick in. On the other hand, rendering lighting sprites at distance is not a complex problems: Much older games do it convincingly since ages...
I think ED just never bothered. Hopefully they do now...

And yes, distinguishable red/green would be much appreciated... at least up to a certain distance...
