Unfortunately, now all the beautiful lakes turn into dirty puddles when you fly right over them

Although in this screenshot from the video you will see how the helicopter flies over a very clean lake and you do not see the bottom.

I know that on the map of Syria it was possible to adjust the transparency so that lakes and rivers remain blue. I would be very grateful if the lakes on the Normandy map could also be made more realistic and I really hope that this is not limited by the capabilities of the DCS

This depends totally on weather conditions, your angle in relations to the light direction, overall light conditions, plus bottom conditions, depth of water etc..
So many parameters, these pictures are not very useful to demonstrate, as they probably are not comparable considering possible natural variations.
(I haven't checked that map for unrealistic waters, so this is just my initial thoughts)
Also; I'm generally impressed with DCS water and its transparancy in shallows.

So there are conditions under which from the bridge you can see the same brown bottom of the river as I see here?
Apparently you don't fly on this map, but I'll tell you that such transparency in the game DOES NOT DEPEND on the weather, depth, wind and everything else. ALWAYS when you fly over any body of water (except the sea) on the Normandy map (in spring, summer, autumn, cloudy weather or clear day), the bottom of any rivers looks like this bottom of the River Seine

In any case, thank you for your attention to this topic.
