Sometime I would love to mark a border area or forbid aircraft from flying in a certain area.
I would love if we could mark an area as a no fly zone for either one or both coalitions.

Agreed. And I think it would help if we would define how this would work. Obviously, something should happen if and when a plane flies into these zones, so we should describe the rules work. I'm sure you are already thinking of something, but there are many details that you implicitly are thinking about without expressing them. For example:

  • Should AI automatically avoid flying into such a zone? If so, how do we then tell AI to fly into such a zone to intercept an interloper? Is flying into a no-fly zone enough to be counted as an aggression so an AI set to 'return fire' regards soneone flying into the zone as an attack?
  • What happens if an aircraft flies into a no-fly zone? And why? To whom?

I'm not trying to be difficult - I've been trying to build myself a 'no-fly zone' script, and there are just so many variables involved that I got nowhere. So, how would your take on a no-fly zone would play out?

In this case, a No Fly Zone is an area not part of the mission where we simply do not want any air traffic at all from one or both of the coalitions. The AI should not enter these zones and if in them should leave as quickly as possible. I want them to simulate things like the Container, neutral countries etc.
