I think there are some soldiers by the bus with Ak-47 who kill it. I have no time to do anything. (Easy refueling) Edited January 1, 2024 by Spider64
Badger633 Posted January 1, 2024 Posted January 1, 2024 Hi @Spider64 The soldiers only appear when the vehicles reach the bus. You need to kill the three vehicles before they get to the bus. Unfortunately, in this mission, as soon as you shoot down the first truck, two soldiers appear close to the pilot and kill him. So, in my opinion, this is a bug. Edited January 3, 2024 by RedLion
Badger633 Posted January 3, 2024 Posted January 3, 2024 Hey @Spider64 @RedLion You are both correct , just checked it. It is the result of a recent DCS bug. Currently if 'part of group in zone' is used and the unit is killed DCS thinks the unit as reached the zone in question. In this case as soon as vehicle is hit DCS thinks the vehicle has travelled to the end of it's route and the enemy soldiers appear to kill the good guys way ahead of time, not as intended in the mission. ED is aware of this issue which must have impacted a lot of existing missions and hopefully they will fix it for next update. Just in case I have revised this mission to 'all of group in zone' which does work. This update will be in next DCS update. Finished both Serpent's head campaign and right into this one. Looking forward to Part 2. Side Question- Does anyone have any info on whether or not ED will be addressing the awful carrier landing burble effect? It is really taking the enjoyment out of carrier ops with the Hornet for me. Hi Stain, Here is the long story: The Burble Effect: Superstructure and Flight Deck Effects on Carrier Air Wake (dtic.mil) In short, you can disable the turbulence in settings... If so that would be really useful. Also which version mission are you using, have you tried more than once and are you running any mods. And also, for another beautiful views-) But i have some problems with eliminating 2nd vehicles group with AGM-65F. Flied mission multiple times but 2nd mav is always missed a target-( May be i doing something wrong? Looked at mav in my track-it goes to a house near the road. It's not critical, i'd used a guns to hit 2nd group but i would like to know is it a some bug or i made a mistake(s) using TGP+AGM-65F. Badger633 Posted June 24 Posted June 24 Hey @Pavletto Thanks for the Track, have had a look. When you released your AGM-65F you had a good TCG moving lock on the first truck. What you didn't do was ensure the Maverick display was also following, as it wasn't and went where the Maverick screen indicated on a fixed point. Suggest you firstly increase the field of view (FOV) of the maverick display so you can better see if you have a lock on your target and not some other feature. Then when you have a good moving TGP lock, which you did, select the maverick display and keep uncaging and caging until the Maverick display shows closed cross hairs actually on the moving vehicle. Then you are good to go.
