To get support for this, I want to also include @WINWING and @WinwingTech I'm using the winwing Top Gun MIP, and there is no going back. I've even gone as far as to start building a sim cockpit to really do it justice. So, while I'm getting used to not needing the virtual cockpit for reference much anymore, I'd like to know if anyone has yet found any way to make the UFC display work when you're in the HUD only (L alt + F1) view? The screens work great in this view for me. It really was plug and play. But the UFC stops updating the display when in this view. Is there an entry into the LUA file that can make this work correctly? Is it as simple as that? It only took the addition of 2 lines in the script to fix the problem of desync after crashing. Everything else seems to work as advertised, and it seems like something just as simple was missed to make this work correctly. For folks building sim cockpits, it's essential that the UFC sync up properly. The inputs still work, so the buttons still control their selected function, but it doesn't display what the current function being selected is. Am I explaining this correctly? Again, this is only in the (L alt + F1) HID only view. When the virtual cockpit is being used, all works as it should.

AA586 Posted February 28, 2024 Posted February 28, 2024 Spotted your thread back in January and was hoping for someone to come in with a solution as I'm no expert when it comes to editing scripts and the like. That said I did find a solution thanks to Helios. In short I used Helios as the interface to set up the viewports to export the the left and right DDI's and the AMPCD to the winwing displays (as apposed to using simapp) but also set it up to export the UFC within the unviewable space on one of the winwing monitors having watched this short tutorial on YouTube: Rather than the use the generic left/right/centre MFD viewports described in the video I did use the F18 specific ones as that was the only place I could find the UFC. A screenshot of the the helios profile I setup is attached - the small monitors are the winwing MFD's and you should be able to spot the smaller render of the UFC on the right hand small monitor at the top. Once done, just fired up DCS as usual with TrackIR and simapp running in the background as usual, selected Helios in the monitors option and was very pleased to find that once in the alt+F1 HUD only view that the UFC was fully functional. 2knuckels Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 I have a similar setup and even most of the buttons as hardware, and the same problem with the ufc. Everything runs fine MFDs, Tobii etc, but when I switch to Hud only view, the ufc goes out. I tried helios as descibt above, but the only thing I got was a screwed up screens. That would not be big deal as in the helios it is possible to setup the screen sizes, but the ufc did not work as well. Has anyone come across the same problem? I woud be very thankful for any hint.
