I was looking at getting an RTX4070 Super but I would have to spend another £600 upgrading the rest of the PC so was looking at a card for a stopgap between builds. I currently have a 1070GTX and want to get something that is going to be the right balance so as not to be bottlenecked by my 7th gen i7. DCS is the only thing I really need it for as the only other game I play is COD WW2 from 2017.

I have the following Hardware setup.

Gigabyte Z270 Board
Intel i7-7700k 4.2GHz CPU
48Gb DDR4 RAM
Asus 1070GTX Dual OC 8Gb GPU

Edit: Running at 1440p

I was looking at a Gigabyte RTX3060 Eagle 12Gb model for £289 which a couple of people have recommended but was wanting to know people's experience with DCS. Am currenlty running Multithread DCS 2.9 patched up to date and am unsure what the RTX3060 will bring to the table with increased FPS and DLSS?

Cheers

This is important.

Before knowing the answer, let me suggest a 3060ti. It has only 8GB of VRAM, but it's better in every measure. Those 12GB in the regular 3060 are kinda useless as the GPU doesn't have the raw power to utilize that much memory.
