AlphaInfinity Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Hi all, Just throwing this article out there: http://www.tomshardware.com/news/corsair-triple-channel-ddr3,6614.html I am sure that because this is from a memory manufacturer that the results are not completely unbiased. Needless to say, my Gskill ram kit dropped by 30 dollars in price. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231235 What do you guys think. On VistaX64 do you think the corsair results will hold up in the real world? hitman Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 (edited) The corsair ram is pretty good, and the Corsair Dominator pc3-20000 is supposedly the best and fastest ram out on the market today. But Ive had a few bad experiences with Corsair over the past year or so, like my current ram wont run correctly with it at 1600mhz with my current clock speed. It doesnt like anything other than a 20x multiplier for some reason. But then again Im not an expert overclocker. Also, Ive heard that the larger capacity memory modules (2gb sticks) are faster than the smaller memory modules. I cant confirm that, but I like having larger capacity memory modules for x64 o/s systems.
