Super Wabbit Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 The Power Settings chart in the manual (pg. 111) makes note of a 90 degree "command angle" labeling it as Emergency power used for increased take-off power. Its RPM is listed as the same as the Take-off, combat and climb power setting. What's the difference between those two RPM settings of 3250 and how do you know if you're using one or the other? Is it simply that Emergency power is with MW50 switched to on?
Doughguy Posted February 16, 2024 Posted February 16, 2024 command angle means use of mw50 yes. mw50 is switched on by the mw50 switch and pushing the throttle past 3000 to 3250. iirc only ata does change. its a bit irritating. per technical manual you shouldnt use mw50 for t/o as you might overheat the engine too fast. but in dcs its quite possible. 1 https://sr-f.de/
