cannot help without a track file Do mark points work?

What am I missing here? Trying to set a mark point according to the manuals but have had no success calling it up afterwards.

Initially designated a target in hud, then used atflir to refine the point, pushed down on the tdc each time. Tried it with atflir reticle in scene and designation modes. Pushed the mk button on hsi, saw the mk# increment. Then when I go to cycle hsi waypoints up and down, the mk point is nowhere to be found. Just the mission waypoints created in the editor. Has anybody else been able to make use of this function? How?

Make sure you don't have WP sequence selected.
