[DE] T-Bone Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 We recently flew a mission in sub-zero temperatures (-10°) and strong winds (~20 knots) and had the phenomenon in all aircraft at some point that our speed was no longer displayed correctly or provided incorrect values in the IHADSS. I know that the anti-ice system still needs to be developed and implemented. However, I am primarily concerned with the question of whether icing can occur at the current stage of development and whether the helicopter is affected or not. If so, then we need to pay more attention to the weather conditions. If not, then I would like to try to create a bug report. Thanks for your answers. Main machine: Ryzen 7 5800X3D, 64Gb 3600Mhz, Gainward RTX 5080 Phoenix V1 Second machine: Ryzen 5 5600X, 32Gb 3600Mhz, ASrock 7700 XT Equipment: microHELIS Bell 206 Pedale + Toe-Brakes, microHELIS OH-58D Collective, DIY FFB-Rhino clone, Realteus Forcefeel, TrackIR 5

It will happen on all aircraft in cold weather. I don't have the AH-64, but it must have a pitot heater. Did you turn it on? If yes, then it might be a bug in its implementation.

I am aware that it could be the pitot probes, but as I wrote, the anti-ice system is not implemented yet. My question is whether the Apache is affected by icing in its current state and simulates errors or not. It makes no sense to fly in certain weather conditions without this system and I have to take this into account when creating the mission. It was a bit frustrating until it was added, because on multiplayer servers if the server switched to a winter map, you were just kind of SOL because you couldn't do anything about the icing buildup on your engines.
