F-15E HUD Brightness Axis

I found a similar topic relating to the Mirage 2000C,

but in the F-15E, the HUD brightness axis only uses half of the axis. It only goes from 0 -> 100 instead of using the full range of -100 -> 100. This means that the slider on my Winwing Orion 2 throttle only changes the HUD brightness for half of the travel, and the first half isn't used at all.)

To be fair, a lot of modules have this exact problem. Setting the axis as a slider makes no difference. Tinkering with saturation can fix it to some degree. I guess there's fundamental flaw in the SDK.
