Stewmanji Posted March 30, 2024 Posted March 30, 2024 (edited) Good Evening, Apologies in advance if this isn't the proper forum for manual discrepancies. I believe there is an error on page 420 of the current DCS manual (Updated 18 July 2023) or I'm just confused and reading things wrong (50/50, honestly). Figure 234 on page 419 (attached to this post) references the rings as follows: Outer ring: Non-Lethal Threat Band Middle ring: Lethal Band Inner ring: Cortical Band On page 420 the accompanying text contradicts this by stating: Quote The critical band is the outermost band in which specific threats or modes of lethal threats are displayed. Azimuth tic marks are engraved in the outer most portion of the critical band. The tic marks are in 30° increments. The lethal band is the second band in from the outer most portion of the display. Emitters displayed in the lethal band are threats that have been determined to be lethal. The nonlethal band is the innermost band of the display. Emitter symbols in the nonlethal band represent unknown and friendly emitters. Known emitters that have been determined to be nonlethal are also displayed in the nonlethal band. Based on my test flights I believe Figure 234 on page 419 is the correct implementation and the wording on page 420 just needs to be updated to reflect that. Have a great evening/weekend. -Stewmanji Figure 234 (pg 419) Band description (pg 420) Edited March 30, 2024 by Stewmanji typo Hangar: A-7 | A-10C | AV-8B | F-14B | F-15C | F-15E | F-16C | F-18C | KA-50 | Mi-8 | SA342 | UH-1H
