It seems that they had 4 and not 2 external stations for up to 500 kg bombs (not 500 lbs). At least according to combat records and images of the plane.

Yeah, Ju-88A-4 had 4 bomb racks beneath. We don't have an A-4 though, we have an A-17 with torpedoes, 2xtorpedoes 😁.
