jubajuba Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 I'm testing the Windows 7 beta and I can't activate Lock On. I've tried running LockOn.exe with and without administrative priveleges and in compatibility mode for Win XP and Vista. I guess the activation program checks for the OS version before activating and exits because the OS Name strig does not match some criteria. Is there a way to work around this? I ran LOMAC (I bought Flaming Cliffs today) without (or at least none I've not also experienced on Win XP/Vista) problems.
Tez Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 FC does work on Windows 7. Just update StarForce drivers. http://www.star-force.com/support/drivers/ See item 2 "Versions before 5.5". [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] =653=Tez
jubajuba Posted May 1, 2009 Author Posted May 1, 2009 This worked brilliantly. Thanks, although i resent the use of this activation based system. What happens when the activation servers are taken off-line. Will I be able to play LOMAC in 10 years time? Anyway, thanks for excellent support. :)
EtherealN Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 What happens when the activation servers are taken off-line. The same thing that happens when you accidently scratch your disc. ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
